When Switzerland hosts the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Valais this September, it will be more than just a highlight for Thömus-maxon – it will be a homecoming. Swiss team, Swiss athletes, Swiss friends, Swiss partners. RACE BACK HOME is our story. A story of a dream nearly 10 years in the making, of dedication, roots, and passion. We accompany our athletes all around the world on their journey to the World Championships – in training, in competition, in private moments – always deeply connected to our home, to Switzerland, the ultimate mountain biking nation.

We had a dream: to create a true home for Swiss mountain bike athletes. With professional structures, committed sponsors, and strong team management. An environment that supports top performance – and is deeply rooted in Swiss DNA. Our goal was clear: to build a team that not only delivers results, but also reflects our values and our origins.
They’ve come close before – now they’re aiming for gold. Alessandra Keller and Mathias Flückiger are chasing the rainbow jersey. A journey shaped by discipline, shared ambition, and the dream of finally reaching the top – built on Swiss precision and personal perseverance. Alongside them, a new generation is rising through the Thömus Akros Youngstars program, proving that success has strong roots – and a future.
The Ride Behind the Race dives into the silent force behind victory: high-tech bikes engineered with precision, passion, and race instinct. Alessandra Keller, Mathias Flückiger, Vitalin Albin and Lars Forster rely on machines tailored to their needs – because at the top level, every detail counts. Human and machine – united in pursuit of victory.
